On my 41 EGG the 3 pole main switch that goes SHORE-0-GEN, failed to switch from Shore to Gen. It was found some melting plastic in the neutral pole, that blocked the operation. It is required to be replaced. Its capacity 63 Amps -600V. I appreciate any help where it could be purchased. Has any menber replaced already? Many thanks. Gonzalo - Sugamar
After taking down the swicth, it was found seriously damaged. The swicth is three poles, Made In Austria by KRAUS & NAIMER nominal 63 amps in 550 VAC. This is an standard Europe DIN size. Locally I found a similar one made in Spain by TELERGON model T-402 63 amps. With minor adjustments it fitted okey. Again many thanks to all for your help. Gonzalo
Many thanks Phil, Claudia, Egg 33 and Dan for your help.Tomorrow I will take out the rotary switch to evaluate damage, and I will know if a replacement is needed. The WEST Marine two poles switch is not suitable since EGG harbor uses 3 poles switch. Two poles of each phase and one pole for neutral. It is not recomended that neutral line is common for Shore and Gen.Never works with an inverter.Gonzalo
We just replaced our three-way switch (110V/Off/Gen.) The orginal part is made in Germany (High Dollar) Skip @ Neptune Electronics ordered the part locally. This Teck only works on ships and tugs, he knows electronics. We also found poor conditions of connections at the back side of the 110V fuse hold Phone 310-748-9585 in LA Harbor Area. Good Luck - Phil
