I am in interested in a 1973 33' Sedan and need to transport it to its new home. I cannot find the overall height, preferably without the windscreen. Any help appreciated. Thanks in adance.
FYI,I purchased a 33' about 10 years ago in Conneticut and had it transported over the road to Maine. The truck driver was very creative and hauled the boat with the bow low in the trailer and without removing the flybridge (only the canvas and visor were removed for transport). While it may not be a good idea in wet inclement weather as the water naturally flows to the bow...it worked well in my situation as the weather was decent. Sooo...I am a living testament that it can be done. VR, George Richardson Maine

Check out the project section or was that in a news letter section...., I know I saw an article on someone removing it and transporting it within the site.
Thanks for the advice. Apparently the height is not known and everyone is a little twitchy about the number. The beam is a known number,
The cost to transport it without removing the fly bridge is $5k, if it is over height. Do you have any experience with removal of the fly bridge and its cost? I am also concerned about disassembling a structure in good shape and bolting it back together and ending up in the same condition. I guess this is all dependent upon the craftsmen that are hired.
do yourself a favor and take the fly bridge off.if you are having it prof.trucked they will (they should know )the max height, and do not forget that the egg is 13'2"wide you will need a wide load permit Good Luck
