About two weeks into July I was using my boat for the first time since launching it back in April. My neighbor called and asked if I would bring out a scraper since he had so many barnicles he could not go over 5MPH. As a courtesy he dove under my boat to check out the barnicle growth. When he came up he said he found 3 barnicles on one prop and the rest was clean. Apparantly the paint I put on in the spring worked. I'd like to share with everyone a superior product that everyone can use. It is made by Pettit and is called Barnicle Barrier. I have the attached the url for the product from defenderBarnicle Barrier

Here it is August and NO barnacles. I can't believe I went so many years without knowing about this product.

I've heard there's a new grease coming out soon, later this year. It's supposed to be better than all the anti-barnacle paints we're using at the moment and it's good for the environment! I've never used grease before, might try it..

This is a very timely post.
I was just under my boat last sat. and the barnicles were all over the running gear, real thick.

I will give this a shot next year for sure.
