I have twin Crusaider 454XL's and I have noticed a white deposits forming on my stbd. engine flame arrestor.

My engine oil appears to look normal (not milky) and my coolant level in the tank seems ok (not loosing coolant). The flexible hoses that go to flame arrestor have milky oil in them.

Mechanic said should be ok but keep an eye on the engine oil.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,

John T.

Thanks for the reply. My port engine flame arrestor does not have those white deposits.

My temperature runs at 170 degrees which is normal for those engines.

Was also told it cold be salt spray coming in duct that make air up from blowers.

Maybe it is a little condensation from the engines not running warm enough. What are your running temperatures? I would definitely keep an eye on the oil on the dipstick.
